St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking to recruit a full-time Psychiatrist for a full-time adult inpatient role. Samaritan Hospital, located in Troy, NY, offers a comprehensive program in behavioral health that includes inpatient services across three units- offering 63 beds for inpatient care with mental health, MICA, and gero-psychiatry units. An interdisciplinary team provides specialized care to meet the medical, psychiatric, and social needs of the adult patient.

This opportunity is available for immediate placement and will join a team of counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and nurse practitioners in providing compassionate care to our patients.

 

Position Details:

  • The Psychiatrist will provide inpatient coverage for adult patients at the Samaritan Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers;
  • Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends

 

Requirements:  Applicants should have the following:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry;
  • Experience in an inpatient setting is preferred;
  • DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required;
  • Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented;
  • New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

 

Recruitment Package:  St. Peter’s Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:

  • Competitive base salary including starting bonus;
  • Compensation is between $255,000 and $310,000
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
